Retro Retail Therapy: Shopping Downtown in the 1950s: A Walking Tour

What was it like to go shopping in Fredericksburg in the 1950s? Before the strip malls and shopping centers, all of the stores were downtown. Take a walk with us as we show you what stores were where, including a tour of the African American shopping district.

Retro Retail Therapy Walking Tour will be on Saturday, April 13 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. We will meet at the Visitor Center, 706 Caroline Street.

Reservations can be made on this website or by calling or visiting the HFFI Office at the Lewis Store (Address: 1200 Caroline Street, Phone 540-371-4504). The tour is $5 for HFFI members and $7 for non-HFFI members. HFFI membership will be validated after order is received.
