Learn about mash, bootleggers, fermentation, and speakeasies at this event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the start of Prohibition. Includes:
– a lecture about the history of Prohibition in Fredericksburg, with photographs and stories from newspapers, court records, and police blotters
– a tour explaining the process of making whiskey at Virginia’s most famous distillery, including a tasting!
$7 for HFFI members, $10 for non-HFFI members
Reservations required
The tour and lecture each last an hour. We will have two groups:
Teetotalers: Lecture first, Tour and Tasting second
Bootleggers: Tour and Tasting first, Lecture second
