“Bringing Back Sligo” Tour
$20.00
“Bringing Back Sligo” tour is on Saturday, November 16 from 1:00 -5:00. Surprise! A whole new event! Have you been following the saga of Sligo, that old house out near Dixon Park? A young couple bought it a year ago, and are in the process of restoring it. I have been following the story on Facebook, but they also have a blog at https://bringingbacksligo.com/
Well, this idea popped into my head that it would be really interesting to see a house in the process of restoration, rather than just the finished product. They loved the idea!
Learn about the history of the house (1100 Dixon St), the restoration struggles, and historic tax credits as we tour top to bottom of this amazing house. Reservations are required; tours start every 15 minutes. The proceeds of your $20 ticket will be split between the Historic Fredericksburg Foundation and the Sligo Revival Fund. Parking available at Dixon Park.
