Research the history of many Fredericksburg buildings and neighborhoods within our resources found at The Lewis Store, 1200 Caroline Street, Fredericksburg, VA.

Files include

  • Lot files on many properties in downtown Fredericksburg
  • Themed files on local and surrounding areas, locations, and historic periods
  • Photo archives focusing primarily on buildings within the Fredericksburg area (Currently being scanned and put into a digital database made possible with support from the Virginia Heritage Fund of the Community Foundation.)
  • John J. Ballentine collection of architectural drawings (Currently housed at the University of Mary Washington)
