The 2005 Ornament celebrates Historic Fredericksburg Foundation’s 50th anniversary with our ‘old’ logo and registered trademark. It is packaged with a red and gold 50th anniversary ribbon for hanging, and comes in a beautiful red velvet presentation bag.

This image traces its roots to 1976. It was created by Susan Ford, who later became director of the Foundation from 1978 to 1988. The logo was first designed for the selvage, or edging, of the HFFI fabric and wall covering collection, and then was adopted for letterhead and signage.

The interlocking letters evoke classical monuments, and the elliptical egg-and-dart motif was inspired by the pulpit of the Presbyterian Church. This 25th ornament in the series is a limited edition casting, individually crafted, signed, dated, and numbered by Ralph Gooch of Cardinal Pewter in Fredericksburg.

The sale of this ornament supports the preservation programs of Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving protecting and revitalizing the distinctive historic environment and cultural resources of the Fredericksburg area.
